b) What are the ways by which you can improve your team work? Give 3 illustrations from your personal experience of being part of a team.
Ans) Working in Teams gives better result than individual working. However, this is only possible if the team is good and capable. Here are some tips to improve teamwork that would prove beneficial in achieving the goals set for the team. Different people come together to form a team, where they are expected to work together to attain certain objectives. When a team is formed, the members are explained about their goals and objectives and the time period in which they have to achieve them. It is the responsibility of the members to come together and plan out a way that would lead them to their target successfully.

A team is led by the team leader whose duty is to encourage and lead the team members to do quality work and achieve the target that is set. One thing a leader has to understand is that human beings, by nature, have different personalities and attitudes and while working in a team these opinions could clash and create conflict within the team. It is the responsibility of the team leader to resolve or at least minimize such conflicts.

For the success of a team, the most essential factor is communication. The team leader is the person who makes decisions, but this does not mean that he or she should not listen to anyone else. A good team leader is one who encourages members to participate in discussions and come out with their opinions and then collectively find a way that they should follow to reach their goal. Regular meetings should be organized to review the development of the project and to record the contribution of each member. This will help in boosting the morale of the team members and make them understand their progress at work.

As teamwork involves interaction between individuals, it would be beneficial if the members know each other well. As said earlier, it is very common for people to have issues with others in the team. Every individual should understand that they are professionals and to achieve success, they need to bury their personal hatchets. Employees should realize that their contribution is necessary for the progress of the project and that the success achieved would be the result of a collective endeavor and not an individual one. It would also be great if the team members could be able to interact outside the work place to know each other more. This would help in increasing a sense of togetherness at work, thus improving teamwork.

Competition is important for an individual's growth. However, unhealthy competition among group members can hinder team spirit. One should understand that each person has his or her strengths and weaknesses and rather than competing with each other, one should learn from others and improve one's performance.

These factors will help in creating a cordial environment at work, as well as increase the quality of work. If a team is not performing well, one should try to understand its causes and try to make changes to bring about improvement. When members in a team work together with a common goal in mind, success is sure to come.

Example: 1.We formed 6 different groups in our class and 6 leaders took care to see that no team member should be irregular to college. Care was taken to maintain regular record of attendance, assignment works, punctuality etc and as a result very soon all the members of the group together brought good result.

2.As a group our seniors organized fresher day party and made it a grand success.

3. We participated in different activities in class room and as a result developed our communication skills to a great extent.

c) Plan a short family trip to a nearby tourist spot keeping in mind the logistics involved.
Ans: We are thinking of a small trip with our parents to Hailand. First of all we have to make a list of all the essential things needed for our trip. We have to collect the phone numbers of travel agencies, security people, hotel managers, travel agents etc. Then we have to make a list of things to carry with us. As it is a water park we need things such as towels, soaps, shorts etc. Next, we must contact any guide and visit nearby city Vjayawada as it is also popular. It has historical significance. There are Buddhist caves known as Undavalli caves. We even have Prakasam barrage, Bhavani Island and the famous Durga temple. There is also a beautiful park called Rajiv Gandhi Park. February is the suitable month as the temperature is not high. To make the trip successful duties should be assigned to different people. So as we have decided the place it’s now time to book the hotel rooms, calculate the expenditure and collect the money from father and uncles.

d) Present an argument in about 250 words on ‘Women are not suitable to work in the industry.’ Substantiate your argument with reasons.
Women are suitable to work in each and every field. Men and women should be paid equally. Equal importance should be given for female sporting events. Even in industries women play a major role. If we take the example of dwakra group in our state we find many women becoming successful exhibiting their basic skills. Best example is the Lijjat Papad industry which has now become a household name. it was started by women with a modest loan of Rs. 80, crore. It has now annual sales exceeding Rs. 301 crore. Though it began in a modest way with seven women with no special skills it is a successful business industry today. The only weapon the women possessed was just their self belief , ability and commitment to take the institution towards progress. No pressure stopped them from reaching the heights. Lijjat helps many women who are not encouraged to work outside their homes to earn money and support their family working inside their home itself. Thus we can prove that women are suitable to work in the industry. They are in no way inferior to men.
